So... I have taken a new position with a Recruiting Firm based here in Atlanta. I have been with my current company for the last 3.5 years and it was a hard decision to make.
I feel like sometimes change is just plain necessary to continue moving forward. I start this coming Monday and can't wait for it to get here.... Well, I take that back. I am planning some hard chilling pool time with Adam over the next couple days (he is on vacation). So, the newness can wait until Monday.
In other news, our garden is straight out of control. I better be harvesting some rad tomatoes and squash soon.
Congrats to me. Have a great weekend everybody :)
Hilarious things happen to me.
Even more hilarious things happen to my husband.
I will attempt to blog them here.

Twitter and Jillian Michaels
I pretty much think Jillian Michaels is awesome. I have been watching her new show and crying every single time with the emotional stories and how great Jillian is with these people.
Well, I was watching last night and decided to "tweet" her. See below. Imagine how excited I was when she wrote me back! That is my excitement for the day :) HUMP DAY!

Slip-n-slide and France
Adam is "working" in France.
Yep, so I went out and bought a slip-n-slide. I am so happy to have friends that are pregnant because the weird things that I buy will be less weird when there are small children in my life.
I also bought Pop-Ice a few weeks ago. I have realized that all that fun stuff I did as a kid is too far in the distance and I would like some of it to come back... Like lemonade stands, pony rides, and sand castles.
Adam is back on Thursday, and although it has been nice doing whatever I want, I am missing him. When he was packing I was trying to remember the longest period of time we have been apart over the last 6 years.... Apparently, we have never been apart this long before.
Thank god he is sending me pics of himself or I might forget what he looks like ;) haha..
Proof of slip-n-slide:

The Meadows' veggie market
So I grew 7 cherry tomatoes and decided it is now time to go pro. We have an awesome community garden in our neighborhood where you can buy super cheap plants. They are having a sale :)
We are now growing tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, squash, and eggplant. The eggplant is for all the pregnant people in my life. When push comes to shove (ha ha) I will be making Eggplant Parmesan for them all and I will need to save money!
So, after slaving away in 90 degree heat.... Well, more like Adam slaving away and me supervising and push some dirt around. Here it is!!

Carpe the Park
Spring is awesome for me. I never have had allergies, so for me the weather is so much fun.
Our patio set showed up.... the table was broken. I will not go into a rage. Hopefully, we will receive the new table this week.
Regardless, Adam and I have decided to have weekly grill outs apparently. Two weeks ago, our neighbors, Tommy & Kelly, and a couple they know. This past week -- Adam's siblings.
I have had this grand idea that kabobs and grilled veggies are the way to go. I am so tired of chopping crap, but very worth it. I am so happy that we have a house so that we can entertain.
Having a puppy is hard work. We finally get to take her on big walks to the park and she loves it. So much so that another dog friend was running along the outside of the baseball field fence and Noel got excited.... She started running full speed and jumped up in the air to body slam into the fence at the end of the field. She is crazy pants.
All girl.
I love her.

Fences and Patio Sets
Never thought I would actually become adult enough to be making decisions on fencing and patio furniture... How interesting the way life changes so dramatically.
We ordered a Patio Set. An awesome one. two weeks ago. The set was schedule to arrive last Friday and then Sears let us down.... one phone call and all my outdoor dreams had been delayed.
Starting Wednesday I will be eating all my meals outside. FINALLY.
We also had our fence built last weekend. After a lot of convincing Adam that even though he has "all the tools" having someone else do it is less stressful.
It looks great and the dogs are in doggie heaven.
We have new neighbors. I love them. They are great people and also have two dogs. They came over to grill out this past Friday on our EMPTY patio. fun times.

Value?!
So. for the first time since Adam pulled my beautiful ring out of his cup... I had to leave it at the jewelry store :( One of the diamonds fell out of the side. I feel naked without it.
The lady in the store asked me the value. Seriously?! You are going to have to hand over the store if you lose that freaking ring lady.
Long weekend, had the stomach flu Sunday so I stayed at home yesterday attempting to recover. Still feel like crap. No, I am not pregnant.
We have Neighbors!!! The houses on either side of us sold last month and they are moving in!
I made sugar cookies for the new neighbors. Someone told me to bake them a pie.... No one wants to eat a pie that I bake. So I figured break and bake cookies would do the trick. Small problem. The new neighbor has not been back since I baked them and the neighbor on the other side has not moved in yet. People always foiling my plans.
I now have $353 for the 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk, thanks to a bunch of really awesome people.
Here is a pic to make you laugh for the day. It certainly does it for me :)

On your LEFT
3 years ago I walked the 3 Day Walk -- 60 miles. I have decided to do it again. I think it is something like child birth where you forget how bad the pain actually was. I remember the huge blisters and the burning sensation my feet felt on the last day, but that is not enough to keep me from doing it again. I tell myself, "it wasnt THAT bad".
I think what burns brighter in my memory are the women who walk after battling cancer or sometimes walk WHILE battling cancer. Some of those women were just walking in between Chemo.. Holy Crap. That definitely makes you forget about your silly feet.
I was 12 when my Grandma Jo died of Breast Cancer. The cancer had spread to her lungs and she was using an oxygen tank. I will never forget the image of her at the funeral without the tubes, the first time in many years.
I have been fortunate to not lose anyone else to Breast Cancer since that time. I really do believe that this walk that people go on every single year makes a difference in the cure rate of this disease.
So I will be there walking with my mom who will shout, "on your LEFT" every time she passes me, which will be many times.
I signed up 3 days ago and 4 people have already donated. I think that is amazing.
People are awesome and Everyone deserves a lifetime :)

Zing Zang Zoom
My weekend started with 3 inches of snow! YAY! I got home before Adam and prepared to jump him with snow balls. I probably made 15 of them and stacked them next to the back door.
He came home carrying his laptop, but who cares!!! I started throwing them and refused to stop when he started hiding behind the garage...I am such a bad shot that he started catching them and throwing them back. Snow is fun when it comes for a day and then leaves.
The Circus is awesome. Except for the farting children. Adam and I are sitting there so excited about the elephants that are about to come out of the tunnel and the smell begins.... This does not happen once or twice, but about 5 times during the first half of the show! Finally, Adam and I are breathing into our bag of cotton candy for some relief. No such luck. Mommas, please don't feed your babies mexican before a public event. UNCOOL.
Anyway, back to the elephants.
Today is President's Day. Adam is at home sleeping. I am working. I am always drawing the short straw :(

Is this FOREVER?
I am the WORST blogger of all time... I have been noticing that a lot of my Facebook friends now have a blog and I love reading their stories. I am going to attempt to be better and give back by telling some of our fun stories too.
People talk about compromise... With Adam it is more like a heavy negotiation.
We need a new mattress... BAD. I have had our mattress for longer than I care to admit. I bought a feather pad hoping it would make a difference. No such luck. Our bed has now chosen to turn into a taco. There is a mountain in the middle and valleys on the sides where we sleep. My dog won't even sleep in the bed with us because he knows how bad it sucks.
I started shopping. I think I looked at every mattress site I could find. I sent Adam the best price and pic of the one I wanted. I supported my choice with 1 million reasons as to why it was the one. Crossing my fingers for quick closing arguments.
Saturday, the coldest day of all time. We drive to Kennesaw. When you live downtown you have to drive to the burbs to actually find some decent furniture stores.
We lay on 14 million beds. no exaggeration. This one. no this one. no maybe.... Every time we shop I reach a point where the decision needs to be made or I go insane.
and I say... "pick one, or else" I am not sure what "or else" is exactly, but everytime I say it we finally make a decision. I think it was a miracle. and it arrives on Wednesday, until then I think I will be sleeping on the dog's bed.
In other news.
Our new puppy was spayed yesterday. Adam picked her up and received the PAGE of instructions for her recovery. #2 says we must keep her from running, jumping, and playing for 10 days. I am thinking this vet's office has never raised a puppy. seriously?! I cant get her to stop jumping around for 10 minutes. I am thinking to myself, " do you have a bottle of sedatives we can have".
She was pretty tired and drugged last night, it reminded us of this video:

Noel is in prison for the next week and I am convinced the collar she is wearing will be lasting for maybe another day. if I am lucky.
